미생물 유전공학 실험실에서는 인간 생활사에 영향을 미치는 개별 미생물 또는 이들의 모임인 마이크로바이옴에 대해 연구하고있습니다.
생명의 기본 분자인 미생물 유래 DNA, RNA, protein, metabolite을 분석하여 우리인간에 어떻게 이롭게 적용할지 가설을 세우고 증명합니다.
NGS, Bioinformatics, CRISPR 등의 최신 기술을 이용해 기초과학적 연구에서부터 산업적 적용에 이르는 미생물 활용기술을 개발하여 관련분야 인적자원 공급과 해양미생물 분야 세계최고 수준의 연구 결과 도출을 목표로 합니다.
